INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

Individual therapy involves the therapist and client working 1-1. Together we will look at the issues that you are struggling with and work towards achieving your personal outcomes. This type of therapy allows for a highly personal therapeutic relationship -the relationship that is built between the therapist and client - and allows for deep work to be done from the issues presented.

GROUP THERAPY

Group therapy involves simultaneous interaction with multiple people who are often strangers. Sometimes the groups are made up of people with similar issues, or with group members having diverse background and concerns. Working with a co-facilitator we will be looking for the dynamics typically within the moment—the here and now—which reflect the current issues in the members' lives. Group therapy is a way to help others understand themselves and their behaviours/thoughts in relation to others.

COUPLES THERAPY

Couples therapy can help couples in all types of intimate relationships – heterosexual, same-sex, married or not. I work with couples to help them develop insight into the underlying dynamics of their relationships, resolve problems in relating to each other and as a result, help them to strengthen their relationship. In cases where couples may come to the conclusion that it is in their best interests to separate, I can help couples to separate in a healthy way.

THERAPY

Life can present us with many challenges, some of which may be harder to deal with than others. Depression, anxiety, bereavement, addictive behaviours, abuse, job loss and relationship break downs, to name a few, are just some of the many things in life which can cause emotional difficulties and in turn, leave us feeling hopeless and unaware of what to do.

Regardless of the reason, therapy provides an open, safe, non-judgemental and confidential space to explore these difficulties. Research has shown that for therapy to be most effective it requires a supportive, open and trusting relationship between therapist and client. This open and collaborative environment is something that I highly value and for some of my client's, therapy has been the first place in which they have felt fully listened to and understood.

Clients come to me for a wide range of issues including:

ANXIETY - ADDICTION - ABUSE - DEPRESSION - RELATIONSHIP PROBLEMS - IDENTITY ISSUES - LACK OF MOTIVATION - POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER (PTSD) - - SEXUAL ADDICTION(S) -STRESS - SUBSTANCE MISUSE - SELF CONFIDENCE - TRUAMA (SEXUAL / PHYSICAL / EMOTIONAL) - WORK RELATED PROBLEMS
