Integrative therapy, grounded in Gestalt

Integrating diverse methods for tailored, holistic care

With over 15 years in mental health and more than 9 years in private practice, I know that no two people arrive at therapy with the same story. That’s why my approach is integrative: I draw from a wide range of therapeutic models to create a process that fits you, your needs, your history, and your goals.

At the heart of my practice is my specialist training in Gestalt psychotherapy, which has been the foundation of my work for close to a decade. Gestalt therapy is a holistic and experiential approach to growth and healing. It’s about awareness, noticing how you experience yourself, others, and the world in the here-and-now. Rather than focusing solely on thoughts or past events, Gestalt therapy explores the whole person, mind, body, emotion, and environment and how these parts interact in each moment. By slowing down and bringing patterns into focus, it becomes possible to see how you might repeat old ways of relating or hold back parts of yourself that need expression.

Through this awareness, Gestalt therapy creates the possibility for authentic connection, self-acceptance, and genuine change, not just through talking, but through the lived experience of being fully present.

My extensive postgraduate and Master's-level training in Gestalt means this is the lens I return to again and again. It shapes the way I listen, the way I respond, and the way I help you bring hidden parts of your experience into awareness.

Alongside Gestalt therapy, I draw on:

  • Person-centred therapy - offering a warm, non-judgmental space where your voice leads.

  • Psychodynamic insights - uncovering how early experiences may shape current patterns.

  • Cognitive Behavioural therapy - working with thoughts, feelings, and behaviours to create healthier patterns.

  • Parts work and inner dialogue - connecting with aspects of yourself, including the inner critic.

  • Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) - a structured approach that helps process and heal from traumatic experiences.

What this means

Tailored therapy that hounours your individuality

This depth of training means I can tailor therapy at a specialist level - whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, confidence, identity, or complex relationship challenges.

While I may sometimes weave in elements of EMDR to support resilience and processing, full EMDR therapy is offered separately as a structured, specialist treatment for trauma recovery.

This approach can support you in trauma recovery and resilience. Boundaries in relationships, self-esteem, confidence, and self-acceptance. Exploring identity, culture, and belonging. Navigating grief, loss, or transitions. Soothing the inner critic and self-doubt. Untangling complex relationship or attachment patterns.

Premium, relational, trauma-informed approach
